Nik Baeyens is an artist and designer working at the intersection of Pop Art and Street Art. Born in Belgium in 1975, he graduated in 2000 with a Master's degree in Integral Design & Product Development from the Henri van de Velde University in Antwerp.
Early in his career, he worked as a designer for various companies, creating FMCG POP displays, medical equipment, lighting products, kitchen products and other consumer products. Today, he divides his time between creating 2D and 3D artworks and working as a freelance product designer, with both his art and designs sold worldwide.
In his artworks, he interrelates, adapts, and combines fairy tales, characters, logos, and images from popular culture, intuitively creating new stories. Through his art and objects, he aims to trigger emotions, capture attention, and offer new experiences.
Inspired by the present and flashes from the past, Nik Baeyens explores the interaction between object and viewer to create "the Awareness of Life."
